if i open a blank document on my word 2003,i am not able to type(the keys are
not locked)if i open a pre-existing word document for editing,i am not
allowed to edit or even to add anything and i did not lock the document,yet
it is mine.please, i need to know how to get out of this quandary because i
need to edit my project.even microsoft excel is also not allowing me to fill
in numbers and letters.whenever i try to edit all the word2003 documents,it
displays a message:this modification is not allowed because the document is
locked.please it's urgent!!!

It sounds as if you have a trial version that has expired, or you have not
activated the program. What happens if you go to Help | Activate Product?
