I uninstalled I thought was the same one in add/remove programs. But I still
see part of it under my all programs on the start menu. I see no way to
uninstall from there. Thanks

Has it jut left the shortcuts on your all programs menu. If so just select &
delete them.
What program is/was it.

For safety I always remove using add/remove programs. This will not
always remove all traces of the program but what is left shouldn't cause
a problem.

It says sonic stage and takes me to products and servces and some maual. I
don't even know what thats all about. I don't even know if that would help to
unistall, but it seems related to what is popping up.

It says:
When I log in it pops up

Sonic Activation Module

The feature you are trying to use is on a CD rom or other Removable disk tha
is not available.
Insert sonci activation module and click ok

Use sorce: 1

Options are ok, cancel and Browse

I click cancel and it pops back up over and over and over. It says path
activate.msi is not valid!!!
UGH this is soo frustrating!

Set a System Restore point and then uninstall it.

There seems to be others having problems with uninstalling sonic stage.
Perhaps you should read
http://forums.minidisc.org/lofiversi...hp/t16129.html
see if it helps at all. Not familiar with the program but it sounds like
it's left an entry in "run" in the registry.

Sorry I can't be more specific.

The date and time was 1/23/2008 9:07 AM, and on a whim, Tiffer76 pounded
out on the keyboard:

If you uninstalled the program from Add/Remove programs in Control
Panel, the uninstaller was probably just poorly written and didn't
remove the shortcuts. If you select one of the shortcuts, does the
program launch? If not, just right click on the folder in All Programs
and select Delete. That will remove the shortcuts.

Start>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore then choose Create a New
Restore Point. After it is created uninstall the remaining Sonic stuff with
Add/Remove. If removal causes any issues simply return to System Restore
and use it to restore to the restore point you created.
