How do I uninstall a MS Outlook 07 Add-In?

I installed a program that was to extract my MS Outlook contacts and import
them into Constant Contact. The installation was not successful and never
installed the small program, but now Outlook comes up w/ an error that "the
add-in..... cannot be loaded and has been disabled by Outlook. Contact the
manufacturer or Uninstall the Add-In." I would like to simply uninstall the
Add-In, but do not know how and I cannot find anything in the Help menus
indicating "Add-In"

Thank You, I did find it. It is listed under "COM Add-Ins" as "Constant
Contact QuickImport Add-In" and when I goto the COM Add-Ins manager and
attempt to Remove it, I get an pop-up that says "The connected state of
Office Add-Ins registered in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE cannot be changed" The Load
Behavior is listed as "Not loaded. A runtime error occurred during the
loading of the COM Add-in" and the location listed for this add-in is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Constant Contact\Constant Cnotact QuickImport v2 for
Outlook\QuickImport.dll which neither the location nor file exist on my
computer.

Sorry to take so long in getting back to you....

You would have to whack it out of the registry. Location is:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins

Review each folder under this as one of them will contain a reference to the
contact addin. Just export/delete said folder.

No worries on the delay, the Add-In error quit coming up after I tried the
last suggestion and rec’d a Run Time Error; now the Add-In is listed under
Tools>Trust Center>Add-ins as an “Inactive Application Add-in.” I did a
search inside my registry and found all the references to “Constant” The
results are listed below.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local
settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\ VALUES c:\Program Files
(x86)\Constant Contact\Constant Contact QuickImport v2 for
Outlook\QuickImportToolbarPreReqs.exe

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Wow6432Node\Local
settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\ VALUES c:\Program Files
(x86)\Constant Contact\Constant Contact QuickImport v2 for
Outlook\QuickImportToolbarPreReqs.exe

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Constant Contact\ (no values inside of this folder)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs\ VALUES:
url9 REG_SZ http://www.constantcontact.com/index.jsp

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\File MRU\ VALUE
Item19 REG_SZ
[F00000000][T01C9B19A3C9C3580]*C:\Users\Damon\Desktop\Constant contact intro
to CDS.docx

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\ConstantContactImport

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\TypeLib\{2D5E2D34-BED5-4B9F-9793-A31E2636806E}\3.4\0\win32\
VALUE: (Default) REG_SZ C:\Program Files (x86)\Constant Contact\Constant
Contact QuickImport v2 for Outlook\CCOLAccess.dll

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\TypeLib\{2D5E2D34-BED5-4B9F-9793-A31E2636806E}\3.4\HELPDIR\
VALUE: (Default) REG_SZ C:\Program Files (x86)\Constant Contact\Constant
Contact QuickImport v2 for Outlook\

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{B00E5624-28A1-40C7-9A95-FC7D52176583}\
VALUE (Default) REG_SZ Constant Contact QuickImport Add-In

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\ConstantContactQuickImport\
VALUE (Default) REG_SZ Constant Contact QuickImport Add-In

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HAYSTACK\ VALUE (Needle) (just kidding, I pretty much
quit searching at this point)

As of right now, the error message does not come up and Constant Contact
Importer is listed as an “Inactive Application Add-in” If you see something
in my registry search (besides my pun of ‘needle in a haystack’) that looks
peculiar, I have no problem hacking it. I did not find the registry entry
where you previously indicated.

Thank you for all your assistance…
