I can't seem to fix the aggravating problem that i'm having with any of the
solutions or patches that i've been recommended.

Is there a way to completely uninstall Internet Explorer, so that I can
download it, and install it again from scratch???

IE will only bring up my home page, and that's it. Sometimes it's not even
complete, and it just slowly grinds away trying to download everything else.

It won't let me surf to any other sites, whether I type in the URL or by
clicking on a link.

I'm using the Firefox browser right now, so I know my internet connection is
working fine, but I prefer IE.

Hi,
First, clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content when that dialog pops up) It's often
recommended that the TIF folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.)

Then... this is probably a malware problem- adware, spyware, hijackers, etc.
See these sites for help:

Hope this helps,
