Outlook 2007 in windows 2007 - outlook won't open, pst file won't close and
cannot run repair - am considering re-installing but can't figure out how...?

Reinstalling rarely solves this problem. Have you checked your task manager
> processes tab to see if Outlook.exe is still running even if Outlook
appears to be closed?

yes I've checked all that - will go back to the Q&A under general questions
so we don't have this running in two places.

Go to the Programs category in Control Panel, locate Microsoft Office 2007,
select it, click Change. Select Add/Remove Features. Expand the applicaiton
tree until you find Outlook. Click the "Run from this computer" icon and
change it to "Not available". FInish the wizard.
