I click tools,options and there is no advanced options as indicated?

Really.
How odd that your installation would be different than everyone else's.
How could that be? You must have some idea. You've certainly given us no
information. We don't even know what Outlook version you are using, nor why
you would imagine that turning off automatic name checking is even
necessary.

Please excuse me, I'm a bit of a novice. I use outlook 2003. I was emailed a
group of emails that I want to send an email to. I copied and pasted these
emails into a new message and try to send but get a message to add contact.
Help instructions say to open tools, options and the advanced options which I
cannot find. I'm just trying to send some bulk email to members of my
association. thanks
