If you dragged it you may have moved it instead of copied it (especially if on the same drive)
- try dragging it back to where it was When you copy a disc based web (say from you desktop to you laptop) always copy the root web folder including all hidden & system files PS Next time to make a backup copy Publish it to another location from w/i FP _____________________________________________ SBR @ ENJOY (-: [ Microsoft MVP - FrontPage ] "Warning - Using the F1 Key will not break anything!" Hi Stefan,
Thanks for the reply. I actually just copied all the files and copied them to the other folder on the same computer and overwrote what was there and then copied that file accross the network..... not correct? You say to copy the whole directory? How would I be able to overwrite ie update my website between my laptop and pc? I suppose I need to "sync" them somehow but cant figure out how ? Doh!! What do you mean by Publish it to another location from ?w/i FP ? Sorry to be a pain and thanks for your help. Chris. The best approach is to always use File Menu | Publish Web / Site to move a FP web.

With the site open, File Menu | Publish Site and enter c:\backupwebname
For you laptop, unless you have it network to your PC, the best approach would be to open the live/remote site from the laptop and then publish the site to a location on the laptop. By publishing, you will always keep your various site copy in sync with each other. -- ============================================== Thomas A.
