Do Too Many Favorites Cause Problems?

I may have more than 200 links under my Favorites List. Is there a point at
which too many favorites creates problems?

Where do I find guidelines like this, so that I don't gum up IE?

The only impact that I have seen (?) is that when Spy Sweeper detects one of
my new links, it takes a while to update the complete list of acceptable
additions to IE.
Thanks,
EZ

Hi ezbit :-)

You don't mention which version of Windows you are using, but, try the
following and see if it helps with the information you need.

You can have many more Favorites if you sort them into folders. However,
see the following:
Favorites May Not Sort in Alphabetical Order
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=259735

and ....

To organize our Favorites into folder easier, try the free utility here:

Per Siljaline - MS MVP

There is no limit that I know of - with the exception of not
being able to use non alphanumeric characters for file names
or in file names, such as < [ # / \ ] { } ~ > , etc.
*************************************************
and...

IE Favorites - All about them
http://www.arstdesign.com/articles/iefavorites.html

also...

FavOrg: To save Favicons - Free
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Interne...s/favorg.shtml

This allows you to save them permanently in a different folder and
re-associate your favorites with the stored icons. It also verifies whether
your links in Favorites are still good.

Hope this helps.
