I have just installed a new PCI IDE card and drive and want to test to see
if it is running at full 133 Mhz speed with bus mastering etc.

Mention if it is storeware, shareware, freeware, or already included with XP
ware.

Rich

UDMA is zero, I want it at 6. Where in my system setup should I be looking
to make changes? I have a 133 drive w/ 80 wire cable. I have a 133 PCI IDE
card. Driver found by XP, I could find nothing to set in driver or
system/hardware/manager .

OK, I have run AIDA32 and it told me for my 3rd drive:

Max. PIO Transfer Mode PIO 4
Max. UDMA Transfer Mode UDMA 6 (ATA-133)
Active UDMA Transfer Mode UDMA 0
Unformatted Capacity 117247 MB

It appears I am running at UDMA0 - 16.67Mhz ???

I found an Icon in Control Panel - Silicon Image ATA controllers

In running that I found:

Type: Disk Drive (capacity 122942MB)
Model: Maxtor 6Y120L0
Firmware Revision: YAR41VW0
ATA Version: ATA/ATAPI-7
Current Transfer Mode: Ultra DMA mode 6
Look Ahead: Enabled
Write Cache: Enabled

Now I see a conflict, which is it Mode 0 or 6 ?

How can I prove which is correct ?
