I have a new pc with XP. I use a small program called
clean up almost every day, and thats when I seem to have
problems. After using cleanup things start the next time
I reboot. Mainly quicktime...sometimes yahoo. Is there
a way to set this so that certain things never come up
during startup? I can't imagine ever needing to run most
of these programs all the time. I do know how to take go
to start/run/msconfig/startup etc. but that doesn't last
long. Any help appreciated.

Just curious... Why do you keep using the program if it keeps causing
problems? Have you checked for an update for the program or contacted
their tech support? There may just be a simple setting that needs to
be turned on or off to stop the problem. Or it's a bigger problem that
has been addressed with an update to the program. If unable to find
the solution at the website for the program, their technical support
should be able to guide you.
