How do I start the office assistant?

I turned off my office assistant a while ago, and now can't find it or
remember how to turn it back on. Help keeps telling me to click on the
balloon. What balloon? I don't see one anywhere. I miss the little purring
helper.

In Word 2002 or 2003, click on Help | Show the Office Assistant. Word
2007 does not have an Office Assistant.
