Using 2007. Do not want to enable/install Instant Search. I should still
be able to search email messages.
If I select my local Personal Folders root, then click in the search box
near the menu bar that says "Search Personal Folders" and attempt to search
for a message, nothing ever matches because (apparently) it's only searching
that folder and no subfolders.
Once that search is finished, a link appears asking if I want to search all
mail items. If I do so, I'll find one of my replies (in my sent items) to
the very message I'm looking for that is stored in my personal folders. So
apparently, it searches messages on the server fine.
Why can't I search local messages?
