When I reply to a message, I like to have a vertical bar running down the
left of the original message to clearly define the original message. How do I
do that in Outlook 2007?

Tools-> Options-> E-mail Options...-> set reply/forward style to Prefix and
select your prefix character. This character is used for Plain Text
messages. HTML messages will have a blue vertical line.
