how do I set my columns so they stop changing?

's Computer Specifications

When I'm in my Inbox I want my first column to be FROM who the email was
sent. When I'm in my Sent box I want the first column to be TO whom I sent
the email. But no matter how many times I set the columns like this they keep
switching to the other way around. Does anyone know the solution to this?
