Don't use the theme (probably not the answer you were looking for).

oh :-(

so i cant use themes, or borders, and i have to manually add doctype to all
of my existing pages [saw your advice on another post - thanks] .....(even
though i just bought the 2003 upgrade thinking it would solve all).

do you reckon Bill will give me a refund?

seriously, thank you for this. i will look some more at your website to
learn alternatives.

ant :-)

You can use a code snippet to make adding a doctype to your page easy.
Themes won't validate nor will borders but DWTs can. FP 2003 is greatly
improved when it comes to writing valid code but it is only a tool.

Two different DWT resources

tutorial: http://mvp.wiserways.com/tutorials/dwt/index.html
ebook:
http://starttoweb.com/catalog/index....118147b9ebf9b2

both are free but the ebook requires registration.
