I followed the ecurity wizard to protect an access DB, was not asked for any
password and now when i open a DB (whichever) i am prompted for a password.
How can i reset this completely (without losing my DB!)

What version of Access?

Look in the folder where your mdb is located and see if there is a file with
the same name, but a bak extension. That file is the unsecured copy of your
mdb. Just rename it to have a mdb extension.

Open Access and go to Tools, Security, Workgroup Administrator. Click on
Join and rejoin the system.mdw that ships with Access. Do a search for
*.mdw files on your computer first, to get the location of the file.
