When using my spacebar it does not move the text forward - it overwrites the
text in front of the cursor. I seem to have set something inadvertently on
the keyboard. Can anyone help me get the spacebar function back to normal?

Press the Insert button on your keyboard to toggle between Insert and
Overwrite mode.
