Hi
I am wanting to replace my existing harddrive with a
bigger one. How do I do this without having to reinstall
all my programs? Can i use files and settings transfer
wizard?
or is there an easy way?

Thanks

The easiest way is probably to use the cloning
program that many disk manufacturers make
available on their home site.

The software that comes with your new hard drive or available on the
manufacturer's website will be your best bet. The File and Settings
Transfer Wizard is not going to transfer your applications or certain
data. It will transfer only your settings and some files such as My
Documents.

The only other option is going to be an imaging software such as Norton
Ghost.

Using an imaging programs is not the "only other option". Here are
two obvious ones:

- Back up to tape, then restore to the new disk.
- Use xcopy.exe while the disk is installed as a slave disk in some
other WinXP PC, then restore the boot environment.
