Also applies to Outlook 2007.

What error? Additional information would help.

Until then...you could run "scanpst." It's a MS utility that sometimes fixes
errors in pst files. I have had occasional luck with it.

I just don't know where to run "scanpst". Do you go to start and choose the
run and then type that in. I'm not good at this but my Outlook all of a
sudden won't respond. Its like it is not existent . Was working fine
yesterday.

Below is the link that Russ provided in his post. It explains where to find
the scanpst utility and how to run it. If that doesn't fix your problem,
please start a new thread...it will get better exposure. And include some
detail in your problem description (version of Outlook, version of OS, error
messages, etc.) as the more information you provide up front, the quicker
you will get a solution.

If your PST file was corrupt, then scanpst may have removed data that
was involved in the corruption. Make sure you do regular backups of your
PST file, so you can restore data (mail messages) in case of a loss.
