When I insert hypelink in an email it doesn't give me the option to
rename it. I don't want the whole addres of the url to show. Is this
possible? do i need an add-in? don't know what to look for?

not sure if there is another way but, type whatever you want, say "this is a
hyperlink", then Hyperlink it.

Thanks but it doesn't work on my outlook. Oh well I'll have to use
the whole url. I wish it was like AOL where it gives you the option
to rename it.

If understand your question, you want to change the description for a
hyperlink. In the email with the hyperlink, right click on the hyperlink
and then a popup choice is edit hyperlink (Outlook 2007)
