How do I reference selected controls on a form at design time in a macro?

Greetings!

I want to write a macro that does various formatting things to controls on
forms and user controls at design time. I've written macros to manipulate
code, but never to manipulate controls. How do I refer to controls and
manipulate their properties (such as whether they are selected, and their
size and position) from a macro in the Visual Studio IDE?

Suggestions for more appropriate places to post this question would also be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much!

RobR
