I lost 3 months worth of messages recently.

My Outlook tends to lock up since I got back from vacation a few months ago
and had more than 1000 new messages. One day it locked up and when I
re-opened Outlook, I had lost 200 messages. My virus package shows no
viruses or corruptions with Outlook.

Is it possible for me to retrieve these lost messages. A few were really
important.

Is it possible that they have been auto-archived? Check your AutoArchive
settings to see where they could have been moved (archived).

If not, try to run scanpst against your PST file; it may recover some.
