How do I recall an emptied clipboard?

I just emptied the clipboard and realized I lost a multipage document I was
drafting. How do I reconstruct the document segment?

Sorry, there's nothing left to retrieve. The clipboard is strictly an
in-memory construct; once it's emptied, its previous content is permanently
destroyed.
