How do I rebuild all FP links?

I published my FP 2002 website FROM the webserver to my local PC. None of
the navigation structure on the web (local PC or on the server) seems to be
working, although I can see the correct navigation tree. I have deleted all
FP temp files and run the "recalculate hyperlinks" routine. But when I open
a page from the navigation pane, I get an error "Server error: there is no
page with URL 'spanishpeakscy/stonewal.htm' in this web." Why is FP looking
for the URL spanishpeakscy? Our server is spcycling, and my PC path for the
web is C:\projects\personal\spcycling. I cannot find any file pointing to
"spanishpeakscy." How do I delete this URL reference, and get FP to simply
recognize (1) the location in my PC and (2) the root location on the web
server?

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Susan

Assuming your FrontPage Server Extensions are in place, open your web site
using the IE browser. Choose Edit with Microsoft Office FrontPage from the
File drop down menu. You will be prompted for your user name and password.
Once, open PUBLISH all files and folders to your hard drive folder.

Thanks, Chuck. I already did that (see my post on 8/4/06). I deleted the
website from my PC, went to the webserver, opened my website in FrontPage,
and published it to my local computer. On my local PC, the navigation tree
looks correct, but the link bar will not generate. The website should NOT be
asking for URL "spanishpeakscy" because that does not show up in either my
local PC path or in the webserver path. Perhaps the navigation links are
corrupted(?) If so, how can I see it and fix it? The html code does not
contain any text saying "spanishpeakscy." Where is it coming from?

Did you delete the hidden *.web files??

If not:
Go here: http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm and download FP Cleaner ( with
Expression Web Designer and SharePoint Designer support )
Download links are at the bottom of the page.
Run the functions that clear:
The Hidden Temporary files.
The Hidden Cache (*.web) files.

Then open the web and recalculate hyperlinks.

See if it helps.

I deleted two *.web files that had spanishpeakscy listed in the path. I was
afraid to delete the *.web files that showed spcycling because they looked
like the correct ones. Should I delete them all??

I downloaded & ran the FP cleaner and recalculated hyperlinks (similar to
what I tried to do manually) with the same results. When I try to re-install
the linkbar, instead of the linkbar I see the following text: (Add this
page to the Navigation View to display hyperlinks here.)

But the page is already on the navigation view. The home/index page, plus 8
children under the home page, plus 11 pages under one child all show up in
the navigation view. They show up as linked, but are not really linked????

Yes, delete them all.

Then recalculate links.
