How do I make presence buttons visible in Inbox view?

I use Outlook 2007 and one very annoying problem is that I have to swap to
the Communicator window or open messages in order to view the online status
information.

Is there any way to make this visible in the Inbox view, as it would enable
me to tell at a glance who is online/busy/etc.?

Love to hear this answer as I have the exact same question.
