Hi Rob,
please open your Internet Explorer TOOLS | INTERNETOPTIONS | PROGRAM TAB and
in the EMAIL Field please scroll to Microsoft Office Outlook
And open Outlook TOOLS | OPTION | OTHER tab and activate the point
"Make Outlook the default program for E-mail, contacts, and calendar.

Hi Andrea

I too have difficulty with Outlook 2000 in as much that windows xp keeps
defaulying to outlook express.

Every time i open outlook 2000 it asks me if it wants to be the default
which i say yes and again and again.
I have tried what you have suggested but can't find the "Make Outlook the
default program for E-mail, contacts, and calendar" box you refer to in
tools, options.
