I need to make global changes to the view of an Office 2003 pst that includes
many subfolders. Is there a way to make these changes?

The method involes removing all custom views and then customizing the
default view. All folders using the default view will then use the
customizations.

Unfortunately this is a corporate system. It seems that "cleanviews" has
been removed or hidden. We are specifically trying to remove the view panel
from all the sub-folders at one time. We can turn it off one folder at a
time but after a transition to a new system it shows up again. We are still
looking for a way to do this globally.
