How do I make a cell allow only 24 alpha/num. char.to be entered

I have a field that will only take 24 alpha/num. char.. How can I limit data
entered into a cell to 24 char. without having to count char.

Fred,

Select the cell, choose DAta / Validation... Under "allow" choose "Text lenght" and the "equal
to" and 24....
