How do i make the browser open my site from server?

i have a website and i changed the design the new website is .htm and the old
one was .html.

is there any code i could add to make the IE open the new site instead of
the old one?

Have the host bump .htm above .html in the websites default
page list.

I dont know but if i chabge all the .htm into .html will be there any
diffrance?

No there's no difference; the important file is the index.htm is set as the
default.

As long as all your links are pointing to the files correctly, there won't
be any problems.

i changed all into .html and it is working now.
