How do i keep Quicktime from stealing

It seems every time I try and view something Quicktime
steels it. I want the file associations with Media
Player. I set them but the next time I start up it steels
them again .......

I don't have Quickslime but you should be able to open it and set the
Options, Settings or Preferences or whatever Quickslime calls them. Look
for some thing about setting file associations or default viewer or
whatever.
Read Quickslime's Help.
Open WMP/Tools/Options/File Types/pick what you want/Apply/OK.
