Basically, I want to save any changes to printer settings that I make to
printer properties such as ink settings etc. instead of having to redo them
for every document after shutdown.

This is an Access group. Access is a database application.

Since you mention "document" I'm guessing you are using Word, not Access.
You might try posting to a "Word" newsgroup, or perhaps a Windows group
related to printers or print settings.
