Hi!

I am helping someone with his new Toshiba Satellite P15-S470 notebook
with Windows XP Media Center. He requested Asian fonts for reading and
writing in MS Office (soon since it is not preinstalled) and Works.
However, Windows is asking me to install fonts. Is there a way to
download these files?

Thank you in advance.

do you mean fonts or language?

i am not sure there is any asian font. but i am sure that there are asian
language versions for office (as well as other languages all over the
world).

if i am not mistaken, if you want office in hindi, or chinese, or korean,
you need to get office in that specific language.

however, office can support other languages, aside from english, as regards
the dictionary, thsaurus, etc.

hope this helps.

internet explorer has all the languages you need in order to display a
specific language. if you want to open a website lets say, in thai, then
you need to have the thai language pack.

open ie, tools > options > advanced tab > check enable install on demand
(internet explorer). this will download the language pack required for that
specific page. the language pack that has been downloaded may be used by
outlook express as well.

this language pack may be different from the langauge of your office
applications.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...ad+asian+fonts

see if one of the entries applies.

I have a number of the asian fonst on my pc.

EASDICTIONARY requires them
ESword requires them.

Find the fonts you want and download them.

Install them to the fonts folder.
