I want to use Outlook, but I have a bunch of emails stored locally via AOL
Communicator. I want to lose AOL Communicator for good. Can I somehow
transfer the emails I've sotred locally in AOL Communicator to a local folder
within Outlook?

In what format(s) can you export the data in AOL Communicator? Compare
those formats with the formats that Outlook will import and choose one they
have in common.

Look at the export options of AOL Communicator and see if you can export to
a format Outlook can import.
