I moved from outlook express to windows live mail (vista) and was able to
bring over my personal storage folders with old emails. I have now installed
outlook and am trying to move over my old emails. Thank you.

Use 'File|Export|Messages|Microsoft Outlook (or Microsoft Exchange)' from
within WLM to move the messages, then use 'File|Import and Export|Import
Internet Mail and Addresses|Outlook Express or Windows Mail' from within
Outlook to move the contact data.

That's exactly what is not working with Storage Folders - the cusrom folders
you created in Windows Mail.
All messages get imported directly to Inbox , all my custom folders gone,
and all messages are mixed in the Inbox - hrmm...

And are you EXPORTING FROM Windows mail and not importing IN Outlook?

I was also trying to import my windows live mail to my newly outlook 2007 installed.

I did it manually but it took long time as i had 378 mailboxes in windows live mail I couldn't do manually so i searched in google for a tool and i found this. It just took 2-3 hours to convert my whole mailboxes with complete information from windows live mail to outlook.
