I can click on the autotext key in the ribbon and it takes 10-12 minutes for
my entire database to appear. I then scroll down to the one I want and can
insert it, but why can't I just type the autotext name and hit enter like I
did in Word 97 and Word 2003?

Instead of Enter, press F3 after typing the autotext entry's name. The
"autocomplete" feature that showed the name in a yellow tag and let you hit
Enter is broken in 2007 (temporarily, we hope).

However, it shouldn't take anywhere near 10 minutes to load autotext --
three or four seconds should be more in line. You may have a damaged copy of
Building Blocks.dotm, or some other configuration problem.

You can type the autotext name and press F3 to enter it.

Then it has been reassigned to that function. F3 is the default command for
inserting autotext in both Word 2003 and 2007.
Restore the keyboard shortcut to InsertAutotext. CTRL+H is the default
shortcut for Replace.

If default keyboard shortcuts are changed, it makes support very difficult.
