how do i hide mulitple rows/columns in power point when i chart?

trying to hide some rows and columns in my chart; however, they are many. is
there an easy way to hide mulitple rows, insteaad of double clicking on each
of them?

You didn't state your ppt version.

In ppt 03:
On the data sheet, click and drag the mouse to highlight cells in any
adjacent rows (two or more) or in any adjacent columns, that you want to
hide.
Go to the data menu, and select exclude col/row.
The option popup allows you to exclude rows or columns.

If you exclude a row, and later exclude a colunm you have to undo both
exclusions as two different actions to restore the rows and columns to your
chart.
