How do I have old messages show up on different computer?

I use both a desk top & laptop. How can I get my read messages to be
accessible from both computers?

's Computer Specifications

You can either choose to leave the messages on the server on on machine or
access your mail on an IMAP server. Do you have the IMAP option available to
you?
