How do I get Windows 2000 to automatically boot up as a User not A

When I initially purchased my computer, it would boot up as a user
automatically. After using a start up password for a while (my kids were
grounded from the computer!!!) and then removing it, I did something (???)
and now whenever I start up my computer it starts up as the Administrator and
then we have to log off Administrator and then log in as the user we want.
It is a real pain so I would appreciate anyone's help!

Thanks.

Control Panel | Users and Passwords > put a check mark on "Users must
enter a user name..." and click on the Apply button at the bottom. Then
remove the check mark from the box and you will be prompted to supply
the user name and password of the user that you want to automatically
log on, don't forget to click on the apply button when done.

Another option is to run regedit.exe and navigate to;
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
edit the Reg_Sz string values
"DefaultUserName"
and
"DefaultPassword"
to reflect the correct username and password. (note: the password for an
autologon account can not be blank) Make sure you know the password for the
local administrator account before hand.
