how do I get the tab delimiter to work on transfertext

Thanks for previous help on type mismatch - problem solved. But I now have an
issue with docmd.transfertext.

I want to link to a number of text files which vary in content from month to
month without knowing how many columns will be there or what order - so I
cannot use a specification name. I do know it is deliminated and has headings
so I use acLinkDelim and True. The file links but displays as a single field
per record containing all of the fields for each record - basically it is
ignoring the {tab} delimiter.

There doesn't appear to be anywhere to set the {tab} as a default and I have
tried creating a generic specification but with success

Any suggestions?

Many thanks in advance

Ptero
