how do i get rid of windows mail?

I hate windows mail and want it off my laptop when i click on a link to send
an email windows mail pops up insted of hotmail please help me......

You can't uninstall it because it's an integral part of Vista. You can,
however, use a different email program and make it the default. Windows
Live Mail Beta will also look after your Hotmail account just fine. It is
designed to eventually replace Windows Mail anyway.

The option Peter gave you will allow you to use an email program
to access your Hotmail.

If you just want to access your Hotmail with a web browser
(Internet Explorer), use the following fix:

It sure is. I wish someone would develop a similar fix that will
allow any webmail host to be set as the default email handler.

I actually don't need it right now as I have Spamcop pop my Hotmail for me
along with all my other webmail ISP accounts. But it may come in handy some
day.
