how do i get rid of bar above address/url bar that I
don't want? It's not supposed to be there normally
anyway.

it is somehow on my machine because of a download (that
is related to this). i think that it's ieplugin
(intelligent explorer) bar that's on my machine that I
want to get rid of.

But, I can't seem to find any ieplugin or intelligent
explorer files on my computer. I supposedly deleted any
files related to the download.

When I right click on the greyish/light brown area at the
top of the internet explorer screen, it's a blank name
associated with that bar. I can temporary get rid of it
(by unselecting it), but it comes back everytime that I
open an internet explorer window.

thanks, in advance, for your assistance.

You have probably inadvertently downloaded and installed adware,
spyware, parasite, trojan or a browser hijacker from some web site:
