I want to play deal or no deal in PP, I want to find a way that I can click
on a text box and it darken, without it being in a specific order

You can have animation effects triggered by the click of an object. You
might have an object's animation timing set to trigger itself with an
emphasis effect (that can probably darken it) or to have one light object
exit while another light object enters.

I think I understand what you are saying, but I want to do in no specific
order, For example maybe the third box first, then the fifth. But I have no
way of knowing which will be chosen first because it is a game. So is their a
way that the box I click will darken.

Place three rectangles on a slide and type 1, 2 and 3 in each.

On top of each box create a new one filled with black

Go Slide Show/Custom Animation

Select the first black box (remember the number under)

***

Go Add Effect/Entrance/Appear

Double-click the sequence you just created in the Custom Animation and click
Timing tab. Click Trigger.

In the list Start effect on click of choose the box Rectangle #: 1

Repeat the steps back to *** for each rectangle containing a number.

It will work like you want.

BTW this is what David M. Marcovitz told you to do. Try it as show above.

Happy?
