I want new emails to show up automatically instead of having to hit the
'send/receive' button to see if there is any new mail. Is this possible to
do? I'm using Outlook 2003

Ctrl+Alt+S - is automatically send and receive every xx min enabled?

Tools -> Send/Receive -> Send/Receive Settings -> Defined Send/Receive
Groups -> Schedule an automatic send/receive
