How do I get activities to show in activities tab of contacts?

None of my contacts show any activities on the activities tab even though
there are numerous activities for many of them (specifically emails). How do
I get the activities to show?

Look at the Properties dialog for the contacts folder and make sure that the different activities groups are pointing at the folders that contain your mail.
