how do I format -/+Net onto my excel spreadsheet?

Hi,

Hold down the Alt Key and Type 0177 and let go of the Alt key
Make sure you use the number pad and not the numbers at the
top of your keyboard.

Also the ones in Arial and Times New Roman font don't look too good.
Change the font to Courier will give you a better look. If that's
no good just keep exploring, one of them will have the look you
are after.
