I have followed the instructions for adding the flag status column in
Outlook. I like to flag important emails but I do not have the option. Can
anyone help?

What happens when you try?

Sorry, that was a terrible question that i posted. Not very clear. I have
linked my hotmail up through outlook and cant flag hotmail messages. There
isnt even an option to flag the emails and when I try and add the flag status
column, it doesnt allow me to. I checked a friends outlook and it doesnt
look like he can flag his hotmail inbox items. Could it just be hotmail that
doesnt allow for flagging?

I think that's correct. You can't do that on http mail......if you move your
important messages from Hotmail to your local folders, THEN you can flag
them.
