How do I fix stationery view problem

I am having trouble with stationery in Outlook. I am using the ivy pattern,
but it shows in two vertical rows instead of just along the left margin.
This happens with other patterns too. I've tried fixing view and have
exhausted everything I can think of to do. Thanks
