There is no such thing as Windows Vista Word. Any version of Word will work
on Vista. I guess you must mean Word 2007?
Which font are you using? This problem sounds like a defective font ....
though Windows Vista - the operating system - is somehat fussy about printer
drivers. Documents are laid out according the the abilities of the printer
driver. If changing the font doesn't help, try updating (or at least
reinstalling) the printer driver.
