The fix applies only after a restart. This was the case in my own system, after I installed DreamWeaver in order to replicate the problem.

thanks for the suggestions: I did both the png and the xml fix and (though
no restart yet) I don't see any difference.
Further info:
On the search home page I have icons for Windows Basics through to What's
New, and at the bottom beside "For in depth..." and "For more information..."
but beside the "Windows Remote Assistance line between them is the classic
red-cross box.
Thanks for taking the trouble to offer your thoughts though!
