In one of my access tables I have a record that is pure gibberish; I have no
idea how it got created, and I'm unable to delete it. The error msg I get
is: "The search key was not found in any record. (Error 3709)"
I don't use a key for my records. Any ideas how to get rid of it?

The database is corrupt. First make a backup of the database and put it
safely away. Next do a Compact and Repair. See if that fixes it. If not I
have a document named Fix Corrupt Access Database towards the bottom this
page:

Have you tried Compact and Repair to the MDB where the table is located?

You have a corrupted record. It is very doubtful that compact and
repair will help.

See the Damaged records within tables section in the To retrieve your
data from a Corrupt Microsoft Access MDB page at my website
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corr...uptrecords.htm

I don't know if you have tried this or not but I was having the same problem
and it worked. Thank you Jerry and Ofer.
